Bank of Scotland Dealer Finance enhances connections pos finance system

Following the relaunch of its website www.dashboard.co.uk, Bank of Scotland Dealer Finance has made enhancements to its Connections point of sale finance system, which dealerships access through the website.

The changes to the web-based finance application, quotation and approval system come as a result of feedback obtained direct from dealer networks using the system. Bank of Scotland Dealer Finance anticipates that the modifications will speed up use of the system.

For example, improvements to the site's quick quotes section will enable dealership staff to obtain a customer quotation in around 1 minute, reducing the amount of time it takes Bank of Scotland Dealer Finance to respond to the tens of thousands of finance proposals it receives each month.

As a new feature the site now also gives dealership staff the ability to switch between finance products and so remodel the figures in the proposal to suit the customer's requirements. In addition, enhancements have been made to allow the dealer to search and track the status of finance proposals more easily.

Important 'look and feel' changes have also been introduced to the site. These include modernising the look of the system to ensure it complements the new Dashboard website and improving the usability and speed with which users can input and access information on the site, by incorporating drop down menu bars for data input and the ability to trigger selections using the return key.

"Some of the changes made, such as the use of drop down bars, are quite small, but our research shows that they will bring huge benefits in terms of reducing errors in data input and increase the speed of use of the site for those using it on a daily basis."
